Black lives matter

ICE believes Black lives matter. Recent events have increased awareness of racial injustices, and we hope for real change. We pledge to make improvements, we welcome suggestions, and we commit to doing our share. We will fully support all of our sport’s National Governing Bodies in their work to embrace diversity and inclusion.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE

We know that athletes and coaches have worked hard on routines, and we understand your disappointment. Team ICE are grateful for your patience whilst we continue to work on adjusting plans for you. We want to keep you updated that our current intention is to reschedule some events to later in 2020, and we’re also planning a big Celebration Showcase Event hopefully in the autumn! These of course will be subject to government guidelines.

Currently, we are in the process of contacting coaches who were booked on the above events. We politely recommend coaches are given plenty of time to consider the options, so we’d suggest waiting to hear from them. To assist coaches with making provisional plans, unconfirmed event dates up to July 2021 have been provided to them. We are grateful for your understanding that it may be some time before future dates can be confirmed for you, due to venues being closed at the moment.

SOLO BID WINNERS

This season’s cheer solo bid winners will have their bids transferred to the ICE Championships 2021, planned for June 2021. This season’s dance solo bids continue to apply to the Ultimate Dance Experience Championships in November 2020, as originally planned.

STAY IN TOUCH

For the next few weeks, ICE will be operating with a limited number of staff working remotely. Do please stay in touch by monitoring our social media. We’ll also have the latest news available for you on www.incrediblycoolevents.co.uk/news. During this period, we’ll be communicating with coaches directly.

We invite everyone to visit www.incrediblycoolevents.co.uk/resources for links to information from your NGBs, as well as a few fun things on the way, which may be of interest. Also, Story Time with Kim is at 2pm each Friday on the Incredibly Cool Events Facebook page; we’d love to see you there!

THANKS AGAIN

We remain grateful for the patience you’ve extended to us during this rapidly evolving situation. Your kind messages have been gratefully received by the team here at ICE. We would like to extend special thanks to those of you who are key workers – you are hugely appreciated!

We look forward to welcoming you all back, hopefully soon. Please take care of yourselves, and keep being kind.

With sincere thanks for your continued support,

Kim

Coronavirus Update 16th March

16th March 2020 8:05pm

Like you, we are working hard to prioritise everyone’s health and safety. There are multiple and challenging issues to consider, in a situation which is changing every day. We are grateful for the kindness and patience you’ve extended to us during this rapidly evolving situation.

In an effort to give you as much notice as we can, we have therefore taken the decision to postpone all ICE events from 21 March to 3 May inclusive. These are as follows:

  • Sub Zero, Stirling 21-22 March (as per previous announcement from 14th March)
  • Too Cool for School, Stoke-on-Trent 27 March
  • ICE Cooler, Stoke on Trent 28-29 March
  • Dance Fusion, Newcastle on Tyne 3 May

Please be assured ICE have given this decision much consideration. We of course understand it may be disappointing and frustrating.

The ICE team are currently working hard on planning rescheduled events for you. As soon as we have new dates or further details, please be assured we’ll contact coaches. We sincerely hope you’ll be able to join us for any rescheduled competitions. Coaches who are unable to make their rescheduled dates will instead be able to transfer their payment to any other available ICE event up to July 2021, including ICE Ultimate Dance Experience events.

We appreciate you may have concerns about the events from mid-May onwards. Please see our recent announcement regarding measures we’re taking to support coaches during these uncertain times. For events from Summer Meltdown until July 2020, the early bird pricing deadline has been extended to 4 weeks prior to each event, with an extended payment deadline to 2 weeks prior to the event. We are also looking into other constructive ways to try and support coaches through this difficult situation, and we will be in touch as soon as we can.

ICE of course are monitoring the situation constantly, and will continue to follow government guidance. If anything changes, we will contact you and we will aim to give you as much notice as possible. Please keep checking your mailboxes. We hugely appreciate your patience whilst we are working very hard to adjust plans, and we are grateful for your continued understanding during these uncertain times.

As you might imagine, we’re receiving a large number of calls and messages, meaning our response times are slower than normal. We respectfully request that spectators and athletes please monitor our social media for the latest information rather than contacting us directly.

For more information, you can also see the latest updates as follows:

You can visit www.NHS.UK/coronavirus for further information about the virus and how to protect yourself.

ICE look forward to welcoming you back soon. We wish you much strength and hope as together we approach the challenges we’ll be facing over the next few months.

With sincere thanks for your continued support,

Team ICE

Support for Coaches

Updated 16th March 2020

Updated to clarify that we will endeavour to deliver postponed events later in the season or at the start of next season. For example, this may be dependent on the length of any proposed government ban or recommendation.

Support for Coaches: 13th March 2020

Dear Coaches,

We hope that you are all coping in this very difficult time of uncertainty.

Our main priority is to support the health and wellbeing of you and your clubs/businesses and our staff, whilst trying to remain solvent to protect the future of your cheerleading and dance events through this national crisis. We will be taking advice from the government and venues, and will endeavour to deliver all of our events where possible.

In the interest of supporting teams who wish to attend ICE this season, we are going to offer the following, for events from Summer Meltdown until the end of July 2020:

  1. Early bird pricing deadline extended to 4 weeks prior to each event, with an extended payment deadline to 2 weeks prior to the event. In order for us to offer this, we ask coaches to submit their intentions to entry@incrediblycoolevents.co.uk detailing which ICE events they’re intending to enter along with approximate numbers, to assist us with planning.
  2. If the government declares a closure on mass participation events which apply to us, we will postpone the event and endeavour to deliver it later in the season or at the start of next season. If the new date does not suit your programme, your payment can be transferred to any other available ICE event up to July 2021.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries, but do bear in mind we are experiencing a high level of correspondence at the moment. Thank you for your patience whilst we work through your enquiries as quickly as possible.
